The Wall Street Journal reports that Donald Trump has suggested he may be willing to keep certain provisions of Obamacare.

In the months leading up to the election, Donald Trump said in his rallies and interviews, that if elected, he'd want to repeal Obamacare. However, as the Wall STreet Journal reports, Trump may be willing to compromise on some aspects of the affordable care act after his meeting with President Obama.

During his interview with the Journal, the media outlet notes, "Mr. Trump...showed a willingness to preserve at least two provisions of the health law after the president asked him to reconsider repealing it during their meeting at the White House on Thursday . Mr. Trump said he favors keeping the prohibition against insurers denying coverage because of patients’ existing conditions, and a provision that allows parents to provide years of additional coverage for children on their insurance policies. "

Several weeks back, Trump had told a crowd in Pennsylvania, “I will ask Congress to convene a special session so we can repeal and replace. And it will be such an honor for me, for you and for everybody in this country because Obamacare has to be replaced. And we will do it, and we will do it very, very quickly. It is a catastrophe.”
