Ricin Pellet, CIA Spy Boris Korczak Was Shot With Described

Boris Korczak was shot with a ricin laced pellet in 1981.

Ricin is poisonous if inhaled, injected, or ingested, acting as a toxin by the inhibition of protein synthesis. There is no known antidote. Long term organ damage is likely in survivors. Ricin causes severe diarrhea and victims can die of shock. If fired from the compressed gas gun, a sugar coated miniscule pellet containing ricin penetrates deep into organs.
When the sugar coating dissolves the poison enters the system. Both US and USSR produced such weapon.
