Donald Trump has boasted that his name makes properties more attractive and valuable, but many residents of one group of Manhattan apartment buildings don’t agree.

In fact, some say living in a home emblazoned with the Trump name is embarrassing.

According to the New York Times, a petition to have the GOP presidential candidate’s branding removed from the complex has already gathered hundreds of signatures.

The structures, located at 140, 160, and 180 Riverside Boulevard, were developed by Donald Trump, but ownership has since passed to Equity Management.

That company has acknowledged the concerns of the residents, but says the buildings are under contract, which impacts its ability to simply remove all things Trump.

Despite that statement, some residents report that doormats and staff uniforms free of references to Trump have been ordered.
