Fifty-four-year-old Father Joao da Silva of Brazil is in police custody after a couple found drawings made by their five-year-old daughter indicating that she was being sexually abused.

Drawing a picture can help some people express their feelings about a situation that may be difficult to discuss.
According to Metro, this was the case for a five-year-old girl in Brazil who was allegedly being molested by her English teacher, Father Joao da Silva, a 54-year-old priest.
The child's parents initially grew concerned after she became unwilling to attend the man’s classes.
After looking through the girl’s room, they found six hidden drawings which appear to show scenes of sexual abuse.
Karine Maia, a representative of the Delegation for Stopping Crimes Against Women, said, “One of them that caught our attention shows the face of a naked man with an erect penis.”
The child’s father reportedly confronted the priest who is believed to have admitted to the crime, notes the Daily Mail.
He is said to be in police custody as an investigation is being conducted.
