B & H Photo are working with photography for half a century now. On the topic of street photography, one photograph explains the whole process as "Hitting the Pavement". He says that you have to capture some levels of the ground in order to make the picture more realistic. Whether it is concrete or asphalt, both of these elements are part of street photography.
