Ryan Spring and his girlfriend Emma White were at the appropriately named Whale Beach in New South Wales when Emma spotted a pod of humpbacks off shore. The couple sent up their drone and captured some incredible footage of the whales, including a mother and calf. "It was amazing,” Spring told the Daily Telegraph. “I’ve seen them in ones or twos, but not has many as that before.”Humpbacks migrate to summer feeding grounds in Antarctica between August and November each year.
