On Monday, Donald Trump Jr. tweeted a graphic on Syrian refugees which drew immediate criticism.

The recent New York and New Jersey bombings have spurred more conversations among Americans about the number of refugees that the country should accept.

On Monday, Donald Trump Jr. tweeted a graphic on the topic using a Skittles analogy which sparked immediate outrage.

The image shows a bowl full of Skittles with text - "If I had a bowl of skittles and I told you just three would kill you. Would you take a handful? That's our Syrian refugee problem."

In the tweet, it is also noted, "This image says it all. Let's end the politically correct agenda that doesn't put America first."

Immediately, numerous commenters criticized the post for trivializing the hardships faced by refugees.

Among them was Keith Olbermann, who noted, "Seek professional help for your paranoia. And somebody to make GOOD analogies for you."

Another individual remarked, "1. People aren't skittles. 2.Refugees are vetted thoroughly before admission to the US."

John Legend also expressed his opinion with a tweet, "By that logic, you would take everyone's guns away. Because someone is gonna kill somebody at some point. But I guess that doesn't count."
