Crossing ALPHA -- 9 'The Highway of Death'

ALPHA 9 [A9] was opened during April 2002, just after the 2002 ceasefire agreement was signed between Sri Lankan government and LTTE. A9 was closed in May 2006 by the SRI LANKAN ARMY. ALPHA 9 is the only highway which connects the JAFFNA peninsula to the mainland. 2002 CFA was unilaterally abrogated in January 2008 by the brutally oppressive terror state SRI LANKA.
