A basking shark was spotted off the Irish town of Kilkee on Tuesday, April 12. Local media said up to 20 basking sharks were found swimming in circles near the shore on Tuesday. This video shows a kayaker’s close encounter with possibly one of them.Basking sharks can measure up to 11 m in length and are typically found near the shore from April to September.
