BHEL commissioned 600 MW Thermal Power Plant in Telangana.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) on 25 March 2016 announced that it successfully commissioned a 600 MW coalbased thermal power plant in Telangana. The 1200 MW Jaipur Power Plant is being developed by Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
For Telangana, it is the second major plant after the formation of the State in June 2014. Earlier, in December 2015, the 600 MW Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant Stage-II was commissioned at Bhoopalapally in Warangal district.

E-Waste Management Rules, 2016 Notification.
The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on 23 March 2016 notified the E-Waste Management Rules year2016.
The new set of rules will replace the E-Waste (Management & Handling) Rules 2011 and will provide the way for more transparent and environment friendly management of e-waste across the country.

RBI issued revised Framework for Revival and Rehabilitation of MSMEs.
The Reserve Bank of India on 17 March 2016 issued revised Framework for Revival and Rehabilitation of Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSMEs). This revised Framework will supersede RBI’s earlier Guidelines on Rehabilitation of Sick Micro and Small Enterprises issued on 1 November year2012.

MOU between India and UAE for long term investment.
The Union Cabinet on 23 March 2016 gave its approval for a MOU between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to mobilise long term investment into the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 11 February 2016 to maximize economic impact mainly through infrastructure development in commercially viable projects in India.

World Bank’s $1500 million support to Swachh Bharat Mission – Gramin.
Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 23 March 2016 approved the 1500 million US dollar project of World Bank to support Swachh Bharat Mission - Gramin (SBM-G).
The approval seeks to provide for the mechanism of incentivisation of States under the SBM-G through World Bank credit. The incentivisation of the States on the basis of their performance under the SBM-G was approved by the Union Cabinet on 24 September year2014.
