When Count Cador's daugher has her rights of inheritance stripped at birth, he raises her as a boy. After her kidnapping at the hands of some court minstrels war is declared on the entire profession, and a rogue team known only as the Jongleurs make it their deadly mission to make the crown pay. Meanwhile, with the arrival of the mercenary Beowulf and with the king desperate to stop the crime spree that has washed over his kingdom, the count may find himself closer to his long-lost child than he could ever realize.
