How to Partition Hard Disk in Windows 8 or 8.1 ?

Step 1: Go to the Windows Start Button and Right Click and click on Run.

Step 2: Type "diskmgmt.msc" in the run window and click on Ok,this brings the Disk Managment Window.

Step 3: On this window ,you can see all your Drives .

Step 4: Select the Drive that you want to partition to and than click on Shrink ,after that ,Give it a Size and than click on Shrink.

Step 5: This Gives you the New unallocated space ,in order to make it a Drive .Right Click and than click on New simple Volume .

Step 5: Follow the Wizard and that's all .
