Castro in Paris: Changing Cuba and old alliances (part 2)

A two-day state visit by Cuba’s 84-year-old president with full honours marks a first since the normalisation of ties with the US and the EU. Part of the story is business, but there's also a longstanding fascination with Cuba and a post-sixties polarization over the Castros. What will that thaw mean for a region where Havana's shadow looms large in countries likes Venezuela, Nicaragua or as mediator in talks to end decades of fighting between FARC rebels and the Colombian government?
Produced by Charles WENTE, François WIBAUX and Diaraye BAH.
