Sony Pictures and Marvel have reportedly narrowed down their choices for the director and lead actor of the next Spider-Man movie. According to Deadline, Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland are the frontrunners to portray Peter Parker. However that being said Judah Lewis, Matthew Lintz, Charlie Plummer and Charlie Rowe are still in contention. As for who is helming the reboot, directors Ted Melfi and Jonathan Levine are the frontrunners with John Francis Daley, Jonathan M. Goldstein and new comer Jon Watts are still contenders. The new Spider-Man is expected to show up in Captain America: Civil War, with a standalone movie following in 2017.
