Heavy rains and landslides from El Niño have hit the coast of California particularly hard, continuing coastal erosion on cliffs near Esplanade Avenue in Pacifica. According to KTVU reports, a state of emergency has been declared in Pacifica, and apartment buildings along Esplanade Avenue have been declared uninhabitable in the wake of the eroding cliffs.
