The Washington Post recently reported on the theory of Harvard physicist Lisa Randall that the gravitational force of a dark matter disk dislodged some outer-edge comets, and one ended up crashing into Earth and killing the dinosaurs.

Scientists have made many attempts to explain the disappearance of dinosaurs from Earth 66 million-plus years ago, but a renowned physicist has put forth her own unique theory, reports the Washington Post.
According to Harvard’s Lisa Randall, dark matter may be the culprit behind the comet or other space rock that crashed into the planet, causing one of five known mass extinctions.
