Dan Breitwieser
Dan Breitwieser joined TV 20 in August 2006. He's a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and a graduate of Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, he majored in Broadcast Journalism, Political Science and History. Prior to arriving in North Central Florida, he spent a year as the nightside reporter at KSWO-TV in Lawton, Oklahoma.
With all the moving around, it won't surprise you that traveling is one of Dan's favorite hobbies. He's been to 3 continents and 49 of the 50 states. But he says he can't wait to get out and explore all the natural beauty that the Sunshine State has to offer. In addition to hiking and camping, Dan's a big sports fan. He's loves Notre Dame football, Indiana University basketball, and of course, the Colts and Pacers. And he's always looking for a good basketball game or tennis match to play.
Dan says the best part of his job is just telling people's stories and making complex stories easy-to-understand for everyone. That comes in handy when covering the outlying areas including Levy, Columbia, Gilchrist and Dixie Counties. You can catch his reports every weeknight.
