The Real Story of a ABS CBN news report on Montero Sport Sudden Unintended Acceleration

Here is the complete sequence of events in that Mitsubishi Montero Sport "Sudden Unintended Acceleration" incident reported on Bandila. a ABS CBN News program on Nov. 25, 2015
See for yourself. Two things immediately jump out:
1. They were having serious difficulty parking the vehicle into the slot they were targeting, so much so that it necessitated a change of drivers; and
2. The brake lights were PERFECTLY FINE. How come they stopped functioning all of a sudden when the second driver took the wheel?
Even after crashing the vehicle, the brake lights were shown to be working before the second driver got off.
Countering claims in the ABS CBN interview that the driver steeped on the brake.
Brake lights work only when the brake pedal in depressed.
Another question: How come ABS-CBN didn't show the early part of the video? Just asking.
