This album by TNT represents the birth of the Newfoundland and Labrador independant recording industry. Back in 1976, Neil Bishop and Claude Caines formed one of Newfoundland's most prominant and important recording companies, Quay Records. Over the next seven years, this label recorded a treasuretrove of Newfoundlandia; including recordings by influential artists such as Dick Gardiner, Emile Benoit, Jack Hennig, Rusty Walker, George Cadden, The Business, Ted Russell, Wonderful Grand Band, Red Island, Gordon Quinton, Tickle Harbour, Harry Martin, Simani, Herman Wheeler and the Country Gentlemen, Shirley Montague, Margo St. John, Gordon & Martin, Peter MacDonald, and of course, Neil Bishop's own band TNT, featured here. -Robert Williston
