Zgjedhjet për kreun e ri te Partisë Demokratike janë shoqëruar me probleme. Vetëm pak ore pas nisjes se procesit, anëtarë demokrate nga jugu ne veri te vendit, janë përballur me mungesën e emrave ne listat zgjedhore. Ashtu si dhjetëra demokrate te tjerë te Lezhës edhe Pashk Sokoli, anëtar prej 22 vitesh ne PD, nuk ka votuar pasi nuk e kishte emrin ne liste. Kjo gjë ka shkaktuar reagimin e ashpër te tij. I deleguari i kryesisë se Partisë Demokratike ne Lezhe, Eduart Selami, deklaroi se gjithçka ka ndodhur për shkak te gabimeve njerëzore. Pavarësisht kësaj, Selami theksoi se nuk ka mundësi votimi për demokratet e mbetur jashtë listave. Reagime te ashpra nga demokratet e lënë jashtë listave ka ardhur thuajse nga çdo rreth i vendit. Disa nga ish-themeluesit e PD-së se Gjirokastrës, pasi nuk gjeten emrin ne listën zgjedhore akuzuan grupe te caktuar personash ne PD qe sipas tyre duan te ruajnë postet drejtuese. Edhe ne Korçe ka pasur reagime te demokrateve qe nuk votuan. Ndërsa deputeti demokrat i Qarkut te Korçës, Gjergji Papa, deklaroi se asgjë nuk është e qëllimshme. Problemeve me listat e anetaresise demokrate nuk i ka shpëtuar as kryeqyteti dhe komunat përreth. Edhe ne Paskuqan, dhjetar anëtarë demokrate nuk votuan për zgjedhjen e kryetarit te ri. Votimi për zgjedhjen e kryetarit te partisë Demokratike për here te pare zhvillohet sipas parimit një anëtar një vote.
