Shqipëria tenton te tërheqë Maqedoninë ne zgjerimin e përdorimit te Portit te Durrësit, duke përfituar edhe nga problemet mes shtetit maqedonas dhe grek dhe zhvlerësimit te portit te Selanikut. Këtë synim e ka shprehur gjate një konference për shtyp ne Tirane me homolgun Naco, ministri maqedonas i Ekonomisë, Valon Saraqini. Nga ana tjetër, edhe ministri Naço është shprehur entuziast për rritjen e shkëmbimeve tregtare mes dy vendeve dhe i ka ftuar investitorët maqedonas që të vijnë në Shqipëri. Aktualisht Maqedonia është vendi i dyte pas Greqisë për sa i takon vëllimit te shkëmbimeve tregtare dypalëshe. Për këtë vit, vendi ynë ka importuar nga shteti maqedonas rreth 7.3 miliard lekë mallra, ndërkohë që ka eksportuar vetëm 3.5 miliard leke produkte.
