A huge fire that has been raging for approximately two months is threatening the existence of nearly 12,000 members of remote indigenous tribes. The fire has destroyed at least 45% of the Arariboia Indigenous Reserve in Maranhao state, on the edge of the Amazon jungle. The blaze may have been started by illegal loggers invading the territory. teleSUR
