Colombia: Santos Accuses ELN of Ambushing Military Convoy

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos accused National Liberation Army (ELN) rebels of attacking a military convoy transporting voting ballots and electoral officials. The ambush occurred Monday and left 12 dead, 11 soldiers and one police officer. Thus far the ELN -Colombia's second largest guerrilla organization- has not claimed responsibility for the attack. Santos said he ordered the Defense Mijistry to redouble efforts against the ELN. teleSUR
