Argentina: Macri Courts Peronists

As Sunday elections approach, conservative opposition leader Mauricio Macri is trying to attract last minute Peronist votes. The outgoing Mayor of Buenos Aires is the only non-Peronist candidate in the three-person race and had previously distanced himself from the political movement founded by Juan Peron in the 1940s. But Macri’s support has fallen, and it is uncertain whether he can force front runner Daniel Scioli of the ruling party into a runoff vote. teleSUR
