Venezuela's Electoral Software Audited

Venezuela's National Electoral Council audited the software to be used at polling stations in the December elections. Voters select their choice of candidates by computer after a fingerprint scan to verify their identity. A paper ballot of the vote is then printed, which the voter then deposits in the ballot box. The computer and ballot box results are compared when the votes are counted to ensure that there are no discrepancies between the two. teleSUR
