Guatemala: Death Toll Rises to 220

The official death toll in the Guatemala landslide has risen to 220 with another 350 still missing. Mud covered Santa Catarina Pinula on the outskirts of Guatemala City, burying over 100 homes under rock, earth and trees, and also burying entire families alive. Prosecutors have said they are investigating the possibility of criminal misconduct at the site after warnings were issued against building homes in the neighborhood that lies at the bottom of a deep ravine. teleSUR
