Argentina: Tucuman Supreme Court Reverses Re-vote Ruling

The Supreme Court of the Argentine province of Tucuman reversed a lower court ruling that annulled the results of the August 23 elections and ordered that a new vote be held. The ruling Front for Victory had won a comfortable victory, with a 12-point lead, in the August elections, but the right-wing opposition charged widespread irregularities and mounted violent protests. The provincial government characterized the lower court ruling as a judicial coup and an affront to the voters' mandate. teleSUR
