Pope Begins 9-Day Tour of Cuba, US

Pope Francis boarded a papal plane Saturday en route to Cuba, where he will spend four days before heading to the United States. It is his first visit as Pontiff to the two countries. In Havana he will offer a public papal mass, in which attendance is expected to top 1.5 million. The Vatican said it hoped the Pontiff's visit would contribute to lifting the U.S. blockade of Cuba. In the United States the Pope will visit Washington, Philadelphia, and New York. teleSUR
