Aerial Images Show Massive Herd Of Walruses In Alaska

Walruses living in the northern Pacific prefer to rest on the area’s sea ice, but a significant loss of it has forced the marine animals to seek a new habitat. In late August, thousands of them began showing up on the shores near Point Lay, Alaska.

Several photographs, which were taken by Gary Braasch on August 23 and posted on worldviewofglobalwarming.org, show an incredibly dense group of the mammals arriving on land.
