Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff has received a massive show of support as hundreds of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in cities across the country. Venezuela continued its closure of two border crossings with Colombia as they search for criminals linked to colombian paramilitary groups and accused of being financed by U.S. officials and politicians and Colombia's former president Alvaro Uribe. Hours after greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras' resignation, the country's president handed conservative opposition leader Vangelis Meimarakis the mandate to form a new government.
