Chile Ramps Up Anti-Tobacco War

A new law in Chile could place tight restrictions on the tobacco industry. The government prohibited smoking in public places eight years ago and now plans to toughen the law by banning additives such as methanol and forcing producers to use packages with neutral images. Industry representatives say they will protest if the law is approved. Chile is America’s top consumer of tobacco and the fifth worldwide. teleSUR
