Two suspected robbers were recently killed by the police in Penampang, Sabah in a shootout. When responding to the incident, Home Minister Zahid Hamidi said the suspects were shot dead not because the people were Sulu but because they were involved in a case of robbery or an attempt at robbery.
He said that in their job the police were not trigger happy in carrying out their responsibilities.
