Driving Disqualified charges usually happen in situations where a person drives a motor vehicle on a highway whilst being suspended or disqualified from doing so. There is a big difference in the seriousness of a charge of driving disqualified where a person was disqualified by the Courts and one where they were disqualified by Vicroads because of points. When someone has been disqualified at Court they are disobeying a Court order when they drive. This is seen as much more serious by the Courts.
