Deputy Secretary Of State Reports 10,000 ISIS Fighters Have Been Killed

On Wednesday, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken told France Inter radio that in the past 9 months, coalition forces have killed about 10 thousand ISIS fighters.

On Wednesday, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken told France Inter radio that in the past 9 months, coalition forces have killed about 10,000 ISIS fighters. 

He also stressed that the plan to disable the Islamic State extends for 3 years, and there’s still a lot of work that needs to be done. 

Blinken further noted that ISIS is quite resilient and remains entirely capable of initiating action.

At the same time, he feels that the losses thus far will ultimately have an impact upon the group
