Europe’s leading planemaker Airbus has entered the debate about a British exit form the EU by slamming the idea as dangerous for jobs and the UK economy.

Airbus said a “Brexit” would mean the company would have to reconsider its long-term UK investments. Airbus employs 16,000 people in Britain.

It is one the first industrial companies to come out in favour of Britain staying in, and the news come on the day the country’s largest business lobby group called on company bosses to defend EU membership, and to tell voters membership was the best guarantee of future prosperity.
