Animal cruelty:Town idiot keeps local cat from certain freedom

In the town of Brandon in Manitoba, Canada, an orange and white tabby named Butterscotch was out doing cat things when he got his head stuck in a birdfeeder. This did not go unnoticed by some of the local people in the area who felt they needed to help the poor thing out.
Butterscotch is feral and afraid of humans. So volunteers set traps to catch him, but one jerk neighbor is gumming up the works. Apparently he intentionally destroys the traps and does whatever he can to keep the kitty from getting the help he needs. By the time police arrive though, he’s back on his own property and nothing can be done.
The only thing the volunteers can do is be vigilant and tell others not to share the location of the traps.
