After his parents took his video games away this teen tried to burn them alive

A 17-year-old central Chinese boy with a serious Internet and online gaming addiction took things way too far after his parents took away his games.
Neighbors say the Henan province teen, Mingming, had been hooked ever since elementary school and despite his parents’ best efforts, things just seemingly got worse and worse.
One day, Mingming’s father, out of sheer frustration with his son’s dependence on online gaming, physically struck him and told him to stay off the computer for the rest of the day.
Unable to cope with the withdrawal, a scheming Mingming waited until his family had fallen asleep before setting their family home ablaze and sneaking off to an all-night Internet cafe.
The family’s house was also part furniture repair shop and was filled with odds and ends of timber, stuffing and cloth. It quickly caught fire and progressed to become a roaring inferno by the time firefighters arrived.
Emergency crews were able to save Mingming’s parents but their youngest son, just 4 years old, died from smoke inhalation. The two adults were rushed to the hospital where they remain, in critical condition.
Emergency crews were unable to find Mingming and after determining he wasn’t inside the charred remains of the house, neighbors suggested authorities try looking for him at a nearby Internet cafe.
And that’s exactly where police later found the teenager. Mingming was shocked and upset that his younger brother had died and not his parents. He is currently being held in police custody and his parents are both still in the ICU ward of the local hospital.
