‘Friends’ co-creator Marta Kauffman recently made it abundantly clear that a show reboot will ever happen.
With new versions of so many old shows surfacing, there’s been quite a bit of talk about the possibility of ‘Friends’ becoming one of them.
Show co-creator Marta Kauffman recently made it abundantly clear that no such thing will ever happen.
In explaining why, she said, “That show was about a time in your life when your friends are your family. Once you begin to have a family of your own, that is no longer the case, and your priorities shift. So the show is over.”
She does make a compelling point.
Over the 10-year duration of the program, the characters evolved from free-spirited twentysomethings into rooted adults with careers, solid relationships, and children of their own.
