FARC Rebels Remain Committed to Ceasefite

As the 35th round of peace talks between the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the Colombian government comes to an end, the guerrilla group repeated its firm resolve to remain a unilateral ceasefire despite the recent clash in the Cauca region of the country. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, speaking at his newly established National Council for Peace, once again blasted the FARC for the deaths of 11 Colombian soldiers and also slammed those who decry the peace process and call for more war.
