00:00Pierre has been here for two years and he's extremely sweet, he has a wonderful personality,

00:17unfortunately he's been overlooked because of the fact that he's black.

00:21We picked him up from a mobile adoption event and at the end of the event they have all

00:25these leftover animals that nobody was really interested in.

00:28Our boss, Jillian, saw him and was like, oh no, we can't leave this guy behind and picked

00:32him up and he came home with us.

00:34Pierre, he's a beautiful black kitty with little white tips.

00:37He's full of catitude and personality and is a total sweetie pie.

00:42Here at the Lange Foundation we have over 20 beautiful black cats waiting for homes,

00:46they tend to be the last ones adopted.

00:48I really like this rescue because I feel like this one's true goal is to have happy animals,

00:53send them to great homes and they have such a high adoption rate.

00:57They really do life changing work for the animals and for the people.

01:02Sometimes when people come and notice that a cat has been in the shelter for a year,

01:07two years, they think there must be something wrong with them, but in fact it's just that

01:11they've been overlooked because of their color.

01:13So really they could be a truly wonderful cat that others simply haven't noticed and

01:17that means an even greater chance for you as an adopter to find the perfect cat.

01:24People think black cats are bad luck, but that's obviously all a mess.

01:27Black cats are great because if they've been waiting for you in a shelter for so long they're

01:31so grateful and happy when you take them home and they're going to be such wonderful companions.

01:36Pierre has no medical conditions, he's fine, he's totally healthy.

01:40Pierre is one of those cats with a great personality who would do fine anywhere he went.

01:44He'd be fine with children, he'd be fine with dogs, he'd be fine with older people or younger

01:48people.

01:50He's a gorgeous, young, kitty, active, loving, playful.

01:55He's completely adoptable.

01:56Really the only flaw that he has is that he's black.
