00:00Top of the morning to ya!
00:11I'm a Wheaton Terrier.
00:12I'm a high energy, cute, and cuddly dog that's great for kids and adults of all ages.
00:18We are a very playful and energetic breed.
00:21Our trademark hello is the Wheaton Greetin', where we jump up and lick a person's face
00:25with lots of kisses.
00:27I am very protective of my family.
00:29I may bark at strangers, but I rarely get aggressive, which is why people say I'm a
00:34great watchdog, but I'm not the best guard dog.
00:37My ancestors can be traced back to 18th century Ireland, where we were considered the working
00:43dog of the working class.
00:45We live roughly 12 to 15 years, standing at a stout 17 to 20 inches.
00:50We usually weigh between 30 and 45 pounds.
00:54I have a beautiful head of hair that needs to be groomed daily in order to keep it from
00:58getting matted.
01:00I may love the outdoors, but I am very allergic to fleas.
01:04One bite can cause an allergic reaction throughout my entire body.
01:07I'm not the easiest to train, so please be patient with me.
01:11The best approach for training my intelligent yet headstrong breed is to be positive and
01:16even handed.
01:17I am very active and require a lot of exercise every day.
01:21We are a very adaptable breed and can live in the city, countryside, suburbia, hot, cold,
01:27or lukewarm climates.
01:28So let's review.
01:30I'm a working dog that loves to play.
01:32My ancestors can be traced back 200 years to Ireland.
01:35Aside from my flea allergies, I am very healthy and can live a fairly long time.
01:40See you at the park!
