As well as being a  movie star having been in one of the Crocodile Hunter films with Bindi's Dad. At 8ft long King Brown snakes are one of the largest venomous snakes in the world, that's why keepers are on hand to make sure Bindi stays safe. King Brown Snakes eat small birds mammals and other reptiles and are part of the black snake family. Their Venom actually rots their prey once they have been bitten.     Cast Bindi Irwin. 00:00When working with venomous snakes, you have to make sure that you check your ego before

00:06you go in to work with them.

00:13This is Tom, the King Brown Ormolga snake.

00:18Isn't he spectacular?

00:20He's actually a superstar.

00:22He starred in my dad's movie called the Crocodile Hunter Collision Course.

00:28This particular snake is about 30 years old and Tom would be about 8 feet in length.

00:35So he's a really big boy.

00:37This is about as big as these guys get.

00:40King Browns are a member of the black snake family.

00:44These guys are found throughout mainland Australia.

00:47Now Tom here is a venomous snake, so you have to be careful when working with him.

00:53So that's why we've got Josh off to my right.

00:56And Josh is just here to make sure that Tom stays as happy and content as possible.

01:03King Browns are one of the largest venomous snakes in the whole world.

01:08Now what happens is if these guys grab their prey items, they will actually rot because

01:14of that venom, therefore killing them.

01:17If they accidentally bit someone, a person, the venom that they have has a property that

01:23would make you rot, which is why it's so important that you're able to get medical help immediately.

01:30So they don't make very good pets.

01:35As long as you stay away from a snake, you'll never come into a conflict with them.
