Hipster dog has an indie film screening for his totally ironic Zombie Vampire Love Story
Cast: John Borges, Brittni Brown, Matt Pagourgis, Liam Sullivan Segment Producer: John Borges Associate Producer: Matt Pagourgis
00:00Ok, thank you for coming to my screening. While you're watching this film, please keep in mind that, yes, on the surface, it's a love story between a vampire and a zombie.
00:11But if you dig deeper, this is an allegory about our roles in society. It's like we're either expected to suck blood or eat brains, and there's no in between.
01:00Ok, so now I'd like to open up the floor for a brief Q&A. If you have any questions about my creative process or any comments about the innovations you've seen on the screen tonight, just raise your paws. Uh, yeah.
01:17So, what are you trying to say with this film?
01:20Frankly, I find it vulgar to explain my metaphors, but I think it's fairly obvious that this is a non-linear personal narrative that uses the darker poignant elements of Bunuelian satire crossed with the verisimilitude of Italian neorealist and French New Wave cinema.
01:36What about the shots of poop on the sidewalk? What did that represent?
01:42That poop is whatever you make it. What is it to you?
01:48Why is it in black and white?
01:50Short answer. I don't see color.
01:54Why is it that you've been screening the same movie for five years and still haven't finished it?
02:00Uh, as you all know from my weekly email blasts and constant tweets, I am now completely reliant on crowdfunding.
02:08Don't you think someone would have bought the movie if it was any good?
02:12This film was ahead of its time five years ago, and it still might be too cerebral.
02:18Listen, it's not my fault that the complacent masses want mindless corporate garbage shoved down their collective throats, okay?
02:26It's my job to create the art, and it's your responsibility to realize that it's genius.
02:32So, how'd it go?
02:37Film's getting too mainstream. Indie film's dead. I'm over it.
02:44Besides, I need to take time off to write my memoirs.
