Best Friends Los Angeles pulled her from a local shelter where they lovingly tended to her.  She was with the rescue for months before she was adopted by Tania and her daughter, Madison, who fell in love with her and brought her home. 00:30Shelby is missing the majority of her teeth.

00:50She only has two of her bottom canines left, but that doesn't stop her from eating.

00:54She can eat wet and dry food.

00:56Most cats eat their dry food whole, just swallow it, so she doesn't need to chew it.

01:09I think Shelby is special because she does just have one of those personalities that

01:13gets along with everybody.

01:15You put her in a room with a new cat, she's fine with it.

01:18A lot of cats tend to be territorial.

01:20She's just not.

01:22She's very, very easygoing.

01:23Another thing that's really awesome about Shelby is even though she's an older cat,

01:27she still has a playful kitten side.

01:30She loves toys, especially the laser pointer.

01:32Nothing gets her more excited than a laser pointer.

01:34She'll chase it for hours.

01:36If you have someone who wants to sit on the couch and play with her, this is the cat who's

01:40going to do that.

01:53We've had two cats, we've had Poppy, and then we had another cat, Oreo, who we had, and

02:09she passed away recently, and we decided to adopt another cat to keep Poppy company.

02:17We saw Shelby, and Shelby immediately fell in love with Madison, my daughter.

02:25Just because Shelby is older and has no teeth doesn't mean that she's not going to be, you

02:30know, a good cat.

02:31To me, it just makes her much more adorable, much more loving, and she's much more, you

02:36know, happy to be here.

02:38You know, toothless cat, it made her all the more cuter, and Shelby's just a wonderful

02:44cat, and we love her to death, and I think she's really happy here.
