Sweet, forgiving Moo Moo was rescued from a hoarding situation where there were countless other cats. He was forced to fight for food and attention. After his rescue, it was discovered that he had numerous infections that may last his entire life. When Cat Connection rescued him, it took two years to nurse him back to health. Kevin and Laurel adopted Moo Moo and found that his past experiences have made him more affectionate and tolerant today.

00:10 Animal regulation went in there and
00:22 they took all the animals away from her.
00:24 There was probably about 40.
00:26 He had bad eyes, he had an upper respiratory,
00:29 he had several things going on.
00:31 He's had a few surgeries for the sinuses,
00:33 some cosmetic work for his eyes.
00:35 And he's been with us probably a year and a half.
00:38 [MUSIC]
00:43 Seniors are harder to place because there's a misconception
00:46 about their longevity, and that is not true.
00:49 Young cats die also, and cats can live to be between 17 and 21.
00:53 [MUSIC]
01:02 How Moomoo got his name was he looks like a little baby cow.
01:06 Moomoo is what we call a cow kitty, and he's white with big
01:10 black patches and the cutest face in the entire world.
01:12 [MUSIC]
01:19 Moomoo's an older cat.
01:21 He's been through a lot.
01:22 He was with a hoarder.
01:24 He was rescued from a hoarder who had an insane number of cats.
01:28 He has a slightly misshapen skull,
01:30 which presumably came from fighting for food at the hoarders.
01:34 He's been through an awful lot.
01:36 But you would never know it from his demeanor.
01:39 He's very loving, very friendly, very affectionate.
01:43 For us, he's perfect.
01:44 [MUSIC]
01:54 We changed Moomoo's name to Zelly.
01:57 It means lucky, blessed, charmed in Yiddish.
02:02 And we thought it was fitting.
02:03 He's been through a lot.
02:05 He's survived.
02:06 He's a survivor, and he's come to a good place.
02:10 And we call him Zelly.
02:11 [MUSIC]
02:17 There may actually be an advantage to the fact that Moomoo comes
02:22 from a hoarding situation, in that he fits in really well with our other cats.
02:28 He's not looking to dominate.
02:30 He's not looking to drive away.
02:32 He's not frightened of the other cat.
02:35 He's perfectly conditioned, if you like, to fit in with another cat.
02:40 [MUSIC]
02:50 He's cuddly, affectionate.
02:53 Wherever you are, you sit down on the couch, you lie down in the bed, he's up there.
02:58 It's hard to imagine being without him now.
