00:00 Hey guys, guess what awesome thing I found?
00:03 Ta-da! It's a suitcase.
00:07 Come on you guys, this is fabulous! Can't you see the potential?
00:13 And now we have a 1967 TWA hard side vintage suitcase with metal latches.
00:25 And rayon fabric inner lining. Perfect for any weekend getaway for grandma or perfect to make into a cat suitcase bed for Mr. Mittens.
00:34 How? I'm going to show you. But first, intro finger dance.
00:39 What you'll need for this totally cool, incredibly retro and awesome cat suitcase bed is
00:50 an old suitcase with a hard cover. Don't use your brother's like the shirt I used last time.
00:55 Four wooden legs. Make sure that they're short and fat.
00:57 You're going to need glue like Gorilla Glue, Super Glue, any kind of glue that's really sticky.
01:03 But don't use your dad's best friend, the duct tape. Even though he says, "This stuff here works on everything!"
01:10 But it doesn't.
01:11 And you're going to need a pillow like the one we made in last week's episode, but just a little bit smaller.
01:16 And of course you'll need decorations like pictures of kitties or Harry. Oh, Harry.
01:22 Okay, start with your vintage suitcase. Make sure to flip it upside down.
01:28 You can probably get this from your grandparents or from a thrift shop.
01:42 If I only had $20 in my pocket.
01:45 And now, cut and resize your pillow so that it fits inside your suitcase.
01:49 Look at the last episode to learn how to make one.
01:51 Now take your four wooden legs that you can get from a hardware store and place them near the four corners.
01:57 Now, taking your strong glue, I'm using Gorilla Glue, and glue the wooden legs onto the suitcase.
02:04 And yes, Gorilla Sounds are necessary.
02:09 Then, using a bunch of books or heavy stuff, weigh down the wooden leg until they're dry.
02:16 Usual drying time is about an hour.
02:19 What can we do for an hour? Well, I've been practicing my meditation.
02:24 Om.
02:37 Ben, this isn't funny.
02:39 Nice and sturdy.
02:42 Open it up, and you can put your pillow in.
02:46 And decorate it with your favorite stuff.
02:49 Or your cat's favorite stuff.
02:55 And voila, your very own cat suitcase bed.
03:01 That'll make for some sweet dreams for Mr. Mittens. Plus, if you go on vacation in a hurry, your cat's already packed.
03:08 Thanks guys, and show me what your cat bed looks like.
03:12 Like, comment, post, or tweet me at #SedonaDIY, and I'll be sure to check them out.
03:17 Oh, and I love reading your comments. They're hilarious.
03:20 See you next time, guys. Bye!
03:24 Bye!
