00:15Hey, guys.

00:16I don't know if you know this, but cats are the fashion tip.

00:19They're so fabulous, even dogs are jealous.

00:23So today, I'm going to be taking some of that classy fashion

00:26and make a little something for ourselves.

00:29Oh, come on, you guys.

00:31I always make you guys stuff.

00:32I've made you guys pillows and cat suitcase beds and crate covers.

00:37It's time to make something for myself for a change.

00:39So today, we're going to make a cat headband, just like the one Mittens wears.

00:45Yes, I know this project might be mildly inspired by you-know-who,

00:51but we don't speak about her.

00:53Harry, I'm sorry she hurt you.

00:56You know that I would never do that.

01:01Sorry, I went somewhere.

01:03Now let's make that headband.

01:05But first, intro finger dance party.

01:15Here's what you're going to need.

01:16A plain silver headband, 24-gauge bending wire, that's the thin wire,

01:2012-gauge aluminum wire, that's the thick wire, rhinestones.

01:24These come in all different colors.

01:26Can you guess which colors I'm going to choose?

01:29You guys know me so well.

01:31You're also going to need wire cutters, pliers, a permanent marker, and a hot glue gun.

01:37Now you can get most of this stuff at an art store, except for the headband.

01:41You'll probably have to go to the mall for that.

01:43Gosh, I hope the cute guy from the cookie store is working there.

01:48What? I like cookies.

01:51Okay, first, cut two pieces of the thick wire for the cat ears.

01:55Make sure your pieces are about 10 inches long.

01:57Then, bend your wires into your desired cat ear shape.

02:01If they're too tall, you'll look like a donkey.

02:03And if they're too wide, you'll look like a mouse.

02:05And once you've made one, you can use it as a guide to bend the second one.

02:09Ta-da! Perfect cat ears.

02:11Now, cut off the excess, leaving about one inch.

02:14Then, using your pliers, bend the bottom of the cat ears up into a loop.

02:18With your marker, mark on your headband where you want your ears to go.

02:24Now take your wire cutters again.

02:26Cut about a foot.

02:27Then, with your thin wire, wrap it tightly around the frame of the ear, securing it to the headband.

02:33Do that to the remaining three hooks, and cut off the excess.

02:36Now, taking the pliers, bend the hooks into tight loops.

02:40And don't forget to cut off the excess so it doesn't poke you in the head.

02:45Woo! Almost done.

02:48Now, pick where you want your rhinestones to go and hot glue them on.

02:51But be careful. This glue is hot and sticky, which does not go well with fur.

02:59So just dab a bit of the hot glue on the ear, and then put your rhinestone on.

03:04And voila!

03:05Now give it a few minutes to dry, and try it on.

03:15Let's try.

03:17Now try it on.

03:19And ta-da!

03:20Now you too are as cool as a cat.
