00:00Hey little bubba, hey little bubba, you ready to show people how to go in a crate, huh?
00:11Okay so most people think this is mean, they're like, it's a cage, whatever, it's not, it's
00:16not mean.
00:17This is where your puppy is going to be safe.
00:19When you're going in to buy your crate, make sure it's a training crate.
00:22This extra piece is going to go in the crate, we're only going to make it big enough for
00:26the puppy to actually sleep.
00:29It's teaching your dog that when they're in the crate, they need to calm down, they
00:33need to go to sleep, and they don't want to have a potty accident in that little area
00:38where they're sleeping.
00:39The most important thing about getting a crate is making it feel cozy and safe for your dog.
00:44You want to make that puppy's crate a great place to go.
00:48This thing right here, if you buy nothing else for your puppy, buy this.
00:51When you watch puppies sleep, they puppy pile, they sleep on top of each other to feel the
00:55other puppy's hearts.
00:56A snuggle puppy actually mimics a heartbeat of a puppy inside of the doll.
01:01Toys and treats are super important when you're putting your puppy in the crate.
01:05It creates a routine, it creates something for them to do, and it creates a place where
01:09it's fun to go instead of bad to go.
01:12What I do is I just put this in the crate when I want them to be quiet.
01:17They're going to chew on it.
01:19When you get home and you take them out, you hide that bully stick.
01:22They will want to go in their crate because they will want to get a hold of that thing.
01:25You also need to remember that their puppies are babies.
01:27These are infants, so crate training might not happen overnight.
01:31They may cry at first, but if you stick with it, if you make it a nice place for them,
01:36they will get it, they will love it, and you will be happy.
