Percentage Of Uninsured Americans Significantly Lower

According to a Gallup-Healthways poll of American adults, 11.9 percent reportedly lacked health insurance coverage in the first quarter of 2015, the lowest rate since the figure began being tracked in 2008.

The percentage of Americans without health insurance is the lowest it has been since the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index starting tracking this statistic in 2008. 

According to their most recent survey of 43,575 qualified participants, 11.9 percent of U.S. adults reportedly lacked health insurance coverage in the first quarter of 2015.

This figure represents a one percent improvement from the last quarter of 2014.

It also reflects a significant drop from the 18 percent peak the level of uninsureds reached just as the Affordable Care Act was about to launch around the third quarter of 2013.
