UCLA Wins on Questionable Goaltending Call, Yanick Moreira Blames Himself

It looked like No. 6 SMU was going to easily defeat No. 11 UCLA. But then it all changed so quickly. UCLA had one shot to make a play and they did… well, kind of. Bryce Alford took an ill-advised, desperation three-pointer that was way off. But on its way down, center Yanick Moreira touched the ball near the rim. The refs decided to call goaltending, giving UCLA a one-point lead. SMU missed two shots on the final possession to give the Bruins the victory.
